Arsenal news: Opinion – Scintillating Gunners putting on shows

I turn 30 this year and this is probably the best football I have seen Arsenal play. In 2024, the Gunners have been scintillating in the Premier League, racking up 31 goals and seven wins out of seven.

One of the unique factors about this team is its lack of reliance on a single individual. Arsenal had five different scorers on Monday at Sheffield United, with Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus not among those on the scoresheet.

The team has a flexibility that makes them almost impossible to defend against. Chris Wilder thought up a new tactic to try to stop Arsenal, but within 15 minutes he was 3-0 down and forced to make a change to his formation and personnel.

The age of many of the stars in this team also brings a sense of excitement and appreciation that this football is not a flash in the pan. Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz, Declan Rice, William Lintasa, Saka and others still have the prime of their careers ahead of them.

Ultimately it will not be crowned as a historic season unless Arsenal can win either the Champions League or Premier League, but the shows Arsenal are regularly putting on for the fans right now are incredible.
